Iowa Wolves News Release

Walker, Mich.- The Iowa Energy outscored the Grand Rapids Drive 33-14 in the third quarter on their way to a 99-91 win Wednesday evening. The victory marked the Energy's first road win of the season.

The 93 points allowed to Grand Rapids was the lowest total offensively for the Drive this season.

The Energy were led offensively by Wayne Selden Jr.'s 24-point performance, just one night after recording a season-high 30 points against Westchester.

Selden Jr. shot 9-14 from the field, including 4-8 from the three-point line.

Grizzlies' assignee Wade Baldwin IV had another efficient night for the Energy, scoring 17 points while shooting 50 percent from the field. The Vanderbilt alum also added six rebounds and three assists to his stat line.

Matt Costello chipped in 10 rebounds and six points in his return to the Energy lineup.

After building an early 10-point, first quarter lead, the Energy would shoot just 29 percent from the field in the second quarter and trail by seven, 37-44, heading into halftime.

Iowa's offense would awake early in the second half, starting the third quarter with an 11-3 run, taking a 48-47 lead with 9:19 on the clock. The Energy would keep the advantage the rest of the way, coasting to a 99-91 victory.

As a team, the Drive struggled to find much rhythm offensively, shooting 33 percent from the field as a team, including just 16 percent from behind the arc.

Three players finished in double figures for the Drive, led by Jordan Crawford's 15 points.

The Energy will have Thanksgiving off before returning to action Friday night, Nov. 25, against the Canton Charge at 7:00 p.m.
