AUSTIN, TX - The Austin Spurs, presented by SWBC, announced today the team has acquired Hollis Thompson from the Windy City Bulls in exchange for Jarell Eddie. The trade is final pending physicals.
Thompson (6-8, 206) started his professional career in the NBA D-League with the Tulsa 66ers during the 2012-13 season. In 51 games, he averaged 8.0 points and 3.9 rebounds. The following season he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, and in 256 games (2013-2017) he averaged 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds in 25.6 minutes. Thompson played three seasons at Georgetown and earned All-Big East Honorable Mention honors in 2012.
