Jackals Sign Goaltender Tyler Parks

ELMIRA, N.Y. - January 20, 2017 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, proudly celebrating our 10th season in the ECHL, announced today that they have signed goaltender Tyler Parks to a standard player contract.
Parks, 24, participated in training camp with the Jackals earlier this season and appeared in two preseason games for Elmira. In his one preseason start, Parks made 32 saves in a shutout win over Reading .

The St. Louis, Missouri native began the regular season with the SPHL's Evansville Thunderbolts, appearing in four games (0-3-0-1) before ended up with the Peoria Rivermen . With Peoria, the 6-foot-6, 215-pound netminder is 5-1-3 with a 2.20 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage.
The Adrian College product was recently signed by the Missouri Mavericks, but did not appear in a game for the Mavericks during his two week stint in Missouri.
