
Memphis Grizzlies Recall James Ennis, Jarell Martin and Russ Smith from the Iowa Energy

Des Moines, Iowa - The Memphis Grizzlies recalled forward James Ennis, forward Jarell Martin and guard Russ Smith from the Iowa Energy, Grizzlies General Manager Chris Wallace announced today. Ennis completed his fifth assignment to Iowa, while Martin and Smith concluded their second stint with the Energy this season.
Ennis (6-7, 210) has averaged 23.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.25 steals in 37.4 minutes in four games (all starts) over his first five assignments with the Energy. The 25-year-old out of California State University, Long Beach has averaged 1.4 points in 4.3 minutes over eight appearances with the Grizzlies and Miami Heat this season, his second in the NBA.
Martin (6-10, 239) posted 11 points and four rebounds in 17 minutes in his D-League debut last night against the Reno Bighorns. Selected by Memphis with the 25th overall pick in the first round of the 2015 NBA Draft following his sophomore season at Louisiana State University, Martin has played one game with the Grizzlies, logging three minutes on Dec. 18 at Dallas.
Smith (6-0, 165) recorded 23 points, five rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes in his D-League season debut yesterday against Reno. The 24-year-old out of the University of Louisville has registered 1.6 points in 4.1 minutes in 14 games with the Grizzlies this season, his second in the NBA.
