Texas Legends News Release

FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends hosted the Austin Spurs in their home opener, falling in the final seconds of overtime 103-110.

The first half saw six lead changes as the Legends fought for a 55-52 advantage going into the locker room. Tu Holloway's 10-point effort in the third quarter put the Legends up by as many as 11 and allowed them to maintain control into the fourth. Youssou Ndoye posted 10 fourth-quarter points to help the Spurs outscore the Legends 25-20 and force an overtime.

Tied at 101, Austin grabbed the ball at the tipoff. Jamil Wilson blocked Jarell Eddie's first shot and grabbed the rebound, but a missed opportunity on the Legends' offensive end led to a Bryce Cotton jumper that gave Austin the lead. Holloway responded quickly for the Legends, but the Spurs pounded out six unanswered points in the final 36 seconds to seal the victory.

Holloway led the Legends with 27 points while Brandon Ashley added the game's only double-double of 13 points, 12 rebounds. The starting lineup rounded out the double-digit scoring as Micheal Eric grabbed 18 points, 7 boards and Wilson matched Toure' Murry with 17 points.
