BOSTON - November 23, 2014 - The Boston Celtics announced Sunday that they have assigned rookie James Young to the Maine Red Claws. Young is expected to be in uniform for Maine's game tonight at the Portland Expo against Delaware.
This is the second time that Young has been assigned to Maine. He poured in 21 points in the Red Claws 81-80 win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants last Sunday.
Young, a 6-foot-6 guard/forward out of Kentucky, was a first round NBA Draft pick by the Celtics. He made his NBA debut on November 1 against Houston. The Red Claws host Delaware tonight, with a tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m. Tickets are still available.
