Iowa Never Trails in 124-104 Victory over Sioux Falls

Sioux Falls, SD - The Iowa Energy jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead and never looked back as they led from start to finish in their 124-104 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

The first quarter saw the Energy (3-0) lead by as much as 15 points before ending the quarter with a 39-27 lead. A strong second quarter by the Skyforce (1-1) cut the Energy's lead in half as Iowa took a 69-63 lead into the half. The Skyforce continued to narrow the gap as they cut their deficit to one with 3:37 remaining in the third. That was the closest the Skyforce would be the rest of the way as the Energy pulled away in route to a 124-104 victory.

The Energy finished with four players scoring over 20 points, led by Diante Garrett's game high 25 points. Hassan Whiteside finished with 24 points and a game high 16 rebounds. Damien Wilkins scored 23 points and Patrick Christopher added 22 points.

Chris Allen led the Skyforce in scoring for the second straight game, scoring 22 points. Rookie Fuquan Edwin added 20 points and Larry Drew II had a game high 11 assists.

The Energy will be back in action next Saturday in Grand Rapids against the Drive (1-3). The Skyforce will be back at the Sanford Pentagon next Friday as they host the Maine Red Claws (3-0).
