Iowa Barnstormers News Release
Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Barnstormers left Wells Fargo Arena on Saturday night with a second straight victory, defeating the San Jose Saber Cats by a score of 73-68. The win improves the Barnstormers record to 6-7 and keeps their hopes for a playoff berth or a possible division title alive. Once again this season 4 teams from each conference will qualify for the playoffs, the two division winners and 2 wild card teams (non-division winners with the best record.) With six weeks remaining in the regular season Iowa finds themselves just 1 game back of the Central division leading Chicago Rush (7-6). Winning the division appears to be the Barnstormers best way to a playoff berth. However a wild card birth is also in reach.
