ABOUT YMCA of the Inland Northwest

Our Community

We're an inclusive organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.

Our Cause Defines Us

We know that lasting personal and social change comes about when we all work together. That's why, at the Y, strengthening community is our cause.  Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

Our Strength is in Community

The Y is a nonprofit like no other. That's because in 10,000 neighborhoods across the nation, we have the presence and partnerships to not just promise, but deliver, positive change.

The Y is community centered. For over 125 years, we've been listening and responding to our community.

The Y brings people together. We connect people of all ages and backgrounds to bridge the gaps in community needs.

The Y nurtures potential. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

The Y has local presence and global reach. We mobilize local communities to effect lasting, meaningful change.

This Saturday, June 22nd 2013 from 10am-4:00PM, Shock players; Beau Bell, Ryan Cave, Marc Schiechl, Sam Tupua, Chris Pino and Palauni Ma Sun will be assisting with Spokane North Pop Warner's Punt, Pass and Kick event at Gonzaga Prep.

About Spokane North Pop Warner

Pop Warner football has been around since the inception of the league in 1929 by founder Joseph J. Tomlin as a four-team conference in Northeast Philadelphia.

Since then, participation has steadily increased to today's record numbers. Over 250,000 youths participated in Pop Warner-sanctioned football programs in 2010, and those numbers are continuing to grow.

If you would like to organize a community event this season, visit the Spokane Shock website at www.spokaneshock.com/community/communityhome/ for more information or call the Shock's Director of Community Relations at 509-242-7477 or email cmedina@spokaneshock.com.
