Daytona Tortugas News Release
DAYTONA BEACH, FL - Due to unplayable field conditions, tonight's Daytona Cubs vs. Fort Myers Miracle game scheduled for 7:05 p.m. has been postponed because of unplayable field conditions. The game has been rescheduled to be a part of a doubleheader on Wednesday, June 12, with first pitch of game one scheduled for 5:05 p.m.
The Cubs staff and grounds crew continuously worked on the field throughout the afternoon, after a major thunderstorm dumped heavy rain on the field, but the conditions were deemed unplayable.
All tickets for Tuesday's game can be used for any future 2013 regular season Daytona Cubs game. Wednesday will be both a Silver Sluggers game and a $1 Wednesday with Breast Cancer Awareness night. Tickets are available online at daytonacubs.com, by calling (386) 257-3172, or by stopping by the Daytona Cubs ticket office located across Orange Avenue from Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
