VISALIA - After exchanging runs throughout the game, the Rawhide got the last laugh as they rallied for two runs in the bottom of the 8th to overtake the JetHawks and win game 2 of this series by a score of 6-5 on Thursday night at Rawhide Ballpark.

Adam Eaton helped the Rawhide get off to a good start for the second day in a row with a leadoff single. He stole second base before Jake Lamb singled to plate Eaton. JetHawks starter David Rollins would eventually load the bases and walk David Nick to give the Rawhide an early 2-0 lead after the 1st inning.

Eaton finished the night 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored.

Kyle Winkler ran into some trouble in the top of the 3rd inning, giving up a pair of runs which included a two-out RBI-sinlge to Tyler Heineman. But Lancaster would strand two runners in scoring position thanks to a great backhanded grab on a groudball to second baseman Raul Navarro, who turned and threw accurately to first base in time for the third out.

The Rawhide would reclaim the lead in the bottom of the frame after Michael Perez hit a sac fly to left field to score Jake Lamb who led off the inning with a double. Later in the inning, David Nick would plate Ryan Court on an RBI-double, giving the Rawhide a 4-2 lead.

Lancaster would chase Winkler from the game in the top of the 4th inning by putting together a two-out rally. After giving up a double and a walk, Matt Duffy came through for the JetHawks with a two-RBI double, tying the game once again at 4-4. Winkler struggled with Ben Guttenberger's strike zone, walking six JetHawks batters in just 3.2 innings.

The JetHawks took their first lead of the night in the top of the 7th inning when Matt Duffy hit an RBI-single to center off reliever Blake Cooper, making it 5-4.

The Rawhide would make things interesting in the bottom of the 8th inning when Lamb drew a walk to lead it off and Court laced a double off the wall in right field off the Hanford native Tyson Perez (L, 1-2). Michael Perez would bring home the tying run and move Court over to third on a groundout to the second baseman. Court would then come home on a wild pitch from Perez, giving the Rawhide a 6-5 lead.

Despite giving up a pair of singles, Jake Barrett struck out the side in the 9th, picking up his California League-leading 10th save of the season. He is now 10-for-11 in save opportunities. Seth Simmons (W, 2-1) would wind up being the winning pitcher, as he tossed a scoreless top of the 8th inning before the Rawhide snagged the lead in the 9th.

With the win, the Rawhide remain 2.0 games back of San Jose for the division lead. The Rawhide will square off with Lancaster once again on Friday night at 7 pm for game 3 of this four-game series. It will be the first post-game fireworks show of the season and the game is nearly sold out. Get your tickets at the ticket office or online at RawhideBaseball.com before tickets are all gone!
