(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the release of non-import wide receiver Tyler Scott.

"Tyler sustained a lower body injury that will require an extensive recovery period. We would like to thank him for being a tremendous professional and important contributor to our football team. We wish Tyler a speedy and successful recovery and all the best in his future endeavors," says Eskimo Head Coach Kavis Reed.

Scott spent the last three seasons with the Eskimos, first signing as a free agent in July 2010 and as a free agent on Mar. 28, 2013. Drafted in the sixth round (44th overall) of the 2008 CFL Canadian Draft by Toronto, the Windsor, Ont., native accumulated 47 career catches for 627 yards and two touchdowns. He missed the 2012 season after suffering a broken collar bone in training camp.
