
Winnipeg Rifles Player to Join Blue Bombers for Training Camp

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced that junior football player Brett Carter (6-0, 200) will participate in the team's training camp next month. Carter has played the last two seasons with the Winnipeg Rifles of the Canadian Junior Football League.
After suiting up for the St. Vital Mustangs, Carter joined the Rifles in 2011 and went on to start six games at receiver in his rookie season. Last year, Carter started all eight games and led the conference in receptions (48) and yards (782) and finished the season ranked second in touchdown receptions with six. He was named a CJFL All-Canadian and took home MVP honours with the Rifles on top of being named a Prairie Football Conference All-Star.
