
Freedom Opening Weekend Chock Full of Great Promotions

FLORENCE, KY - The Florence Freedom, coming off a Frontier League championship series appearance in 2012, return to the field for the first time in 2013 this week when the regular season opens at University of Cincinnati Medical Center Stadium on Thursday.
The Freedom will host the River City Rascals, based out of O'Fallon, Missouri, in a three game series ending Saturday night. Fans coming to the ballpark can enjoy these great promotions and giveaways.
For Thursday, it's only fitting that the newly named UCMC Stadium opens with UC Health presenting a UCMC Stadium rally towel to the first 2,000 fans through the gates. For collectors, the towel features the new stadium logo.
Opening night is also a Rewind 94.9 Thirsty Thursday with $1 beer, soda and ice cream sandwiches. Post-game music returns on Thursday nights with a concert by C.G.I. Acoustic Trio.
Friday, Rozzi fireworks light up the sky post-game on this Local 12 Fireworks Friday presented by CBTS. The night features two fan giveaways including a bicycle helmet to the first 500 kids courtesy of Bridges. The first 1,500 fans will also receive a 2013 Freedom magnet schedule thanks to ProSource.
Friday night's promotions continue with it being "Faith Night". Holmes High School basketball coach Jason Booher will share his inspiration testimony pre-game. During the game, pastors from area churches will compete in the "Faster Pastor Relay Race", and post-game, a local youth praise band performs after the fireworks.
The series wraps up Saturday with a 92.5 Rockin' Saturday presented by Joseph Subaru. Local favorite DV8 rocks the house post-game as kids get to play kick-ball on the field presented by Dominach's Taekwondo Academy. The first 1,500 fans will also receive a 2013 magnet schedule courtesy of ProSource.
Also on Saturday, the Inflatamaniacs invade the ballpark to entertain the crowd thanks to Skyline Chili, the official chili of the Freedom.

Game time for Thursday and Friday is scheduled for 6:35pm. Saturday night's start is slated for 6:05pm. Gates open to UCMC Stadium one hour prior to game time.
