Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes will be busy this week as they participate in the 2013 McHappy Day.
McHappy Day, which is scheduled for this Wednesday, May 8th, is a special tradition for McDonalds Restaurants across Canada as it brings together employees, customers, suppliers and special guests to raise money to help children in need.
Hurricanes Forward Russ Maxwell and Twister will be joined by several members of the hockey club's front office staff between 11am and 2pm at the Scenic Drive location in Lethbridge.
Join us at McDonald's tomorrow and $1 from every Big Mac, Happy Meal, and hot McCaf̮̩ beverage you buy in Lethbridge will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Southern Alberta and Family Centre.
This year marks the 20th McHappy Day in Canada. Each year, the more than 1400 McDonald's restaurants across the country celebrate McHappy Day, the company's longest-running and best-known national fundraising event. Since its inception, the event has raised near $35 million dollars for Ronald McDonald House Charities and hundreds of other local children's charities.
