Provident Bank Park to Host MLB Pitch, Hit and Run Local and Sectional Competition

New York Boulders News Release


(Ramapo, NY) - For the second straight season, Provident Bank Park - the home of the Rockland Boulders - will host the first two rounds of Major League Baseball's annual Pitch, Hit and Run competition. Boys and girls ages 7-to-14 will have the opportunity to test their skills in baseball and softball in the local event on Saturday, May 11 at 9:00 am, with winners advancing to the sectionals which will be held on Sunday, June 2, also at 9:00 am. The event is free of charge, however registration is required.

Participants who emerge from the sectionals will advance to the Team Championships round, to be held at either Yankee Stadium or Citi Field, with the finals to be held at the MLB All-Star game at Citi Field on July 16, 2013.
