Tigers Hand out the Awards Hardware

Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers gather at the Medicine Hat Lodge last night for the last time during the 2012-13 season to honour their award recipients.
The big winner of the evening was Tigers' Eastern Conference First Team All-Star forward Curtis Valk who walked away with a total of seven awards including co-winner of BrokerLink MVP, Trophy World Most Goals, Medicine Hat News Leading Scorer, Earl's Three Stars, MacLean, Wiedemann Player's Choice Award, The Ridge Spine and Sport Centre Fan's Choice Awards and Player's Bench Most Improved Player.
Valk shared the BrokerLink MVP award with top defenceman Dylan Bredo and Eastern Conference Second Team All-Star Hunter Shinkaruk.
Cam Lanigan was named the Guttormson and Company Playoff MVP for his outstanding goaltending efforts that saw the Tigers sweep the Saskatoon Blades in the first round of the playoffs and advance to take on the highly powered Edmonton Oil Kings in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.
The Tigers would like to extend a special thank you to all the award sponsors in attendance last night.
Our organization would also like to thank all of our tremendous fans who helped the Tigers celebrate their 10th Anniversary of regular season sell-outs on March 1, 2013. A truly remarkable feat of 364 regular season sell-outs which the Tigers are truly grateful.
