
GreenJackets Cruise to 4-1 Victory in Charleston

Despite going 0-for-8 in the series against the RiverDogsprior to Saturday, right fielder Chuckie Jones came up big when the GreenJackets needed him.
"Ãâ¹With the game tied 1-1 in the top of the sixth, Jones tripled on a fly ball to center field, then scored on a throwing error by Charleston's second baseman. Jones' run gave the GreenJackets(6-4) the lead, en route to a 4-1 win against the RiverDogs (6-4) on Saturday at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.
"Ãâ¹After Jones put Augusta ahead, the GreenJackets added two more runs in the seventh and ninth.
"Ãâ¹In his first game as a GreenJacket, left fielder Andrew Cain singled on an infield ground ball in the top of the seventh. Cain then advanced to second on a wild pitch, moved over to third when Jesus Galindo grounded out and crossed home plate when shortstop Matt Duffy singled to right field.
"Ãâ¹In the top of the ninth, the GreenJackets took advantage of an error to put the final run of the game on the board.
"Ãâ¹With two outs, Galindo reached first on a fielding error by Charleston's third baseman Dante Bichette. Galindo then stolesecond and third, and finally scored on a line-drive single to right field by Duffy.
"Ãâ¹Helping the GreenJackets secure the win on Saturday was another great pitching performance.
"Ãâ¹Starting pitcher Kendry Flores worked a solid five innings giving up just one run on three hits. Flores also walked only one batter while striking out six giving him his first win of the season.
"Ãâ¹Finishing out the day for the GreenJackets was closer TylerMizenko. The righty picked up his third save of the season.
"Ãâ¹Saturday's win moves the GreenJackets into a four-way tie for first place in the Southern Division with the Tourists,RiverDogs and Drive. The GreenJackets will wrap up their four-game series against the RiverDogs tomorrow, then return home for a seven-game homestand.
