
T-Birds Poker Tournament to Support Kent Relay for Life

Join the Thunderbirds Community Sports Foundation and the Country Club Village People Relay For Life teams for a fun evening of cards, drinks, and light appetizers to benefit the Kent Relay For Life.
The two Relay for Life teams are hosting a Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament at the Meridian Valley Country Club on Friday, May 3, from 6pm to 11:30pm. Get your chance to go head-to-head with T-Birds Coaches Steve Konowalchuk, Darren Rumble, and Tyler Alos! Prizes will be awarded to the "Card Shark" who takes them out!
There will be prizes for first, second and third place at the poker tournament. The Relay for Life teams will also have a silent auction and raffle tickets for exciting prizes.
Winners Prizes
1st place - Winners Bracelet & Suite to a Thunderbirds game
2nd place - Engraved bottle of Magnum wine & 4 Club Seats to a Thunderbirds game
3rd place - Engraved bottle wine & 4 Premium Seats to Thunderbirds game
The poker tournament is only $50 to participate and there are unlimited re-buys at the tournament for only $10. The tournament is limited to 150 total seats so register online now to take part in helping raise money to fight cancer.
In more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries, Relay For Life events comprise the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Each Relay For Life event is special to its community, but the movement's true power lies in the combined commitment of thousands of participants, volunteers, and supporters to help the American Cancer Society save lives from cancer.
If you cannot participate in the poker tournament you can still donate to either the Foundation Relay For Life team or the Country Club Village People Relay Team.
Foundation Delivers Playhouse To Raffle Winner
Congratulations to the Bachenberg Family of Kent who won the Thunderbird Community Sports Foundation Playhouse Raffle.
During the 2012-13 season the Foundation held a raffle for a Schneider Homes Built Playhouse. The raffle proceeds went to the Kent Relay For Life. The Bachenburg Family won the raffle at the last regular season game on Saturday, March 16, against the Portland Winterhawks.
Cool Bird, Schneider Homes and Pete's Towing delivered the playhouse on April 4 to the Bachenberg Family of Kent.
