RED DEER, AB - After the Hitmen won games one and two at the Saddledome, the scene for this second round series shifted north up the QE2 Highway to the Enmax Centrium for game three.

FIRST PERIOD

For the seventh time in their eight playoff games, the Hitmen opened the scoring in this one. Peter Kosterman's shot from the point was deflected by a back checking Tyson Ness on it's way to the net. Kosterman beat Patrik Bartosak for his first goal of the playoffs, Brooks Macek with the lone assist... 1-0 Hitmen at 7:05.

The building erupted when Brooks Maxwell tied the game with a shorthanded breakaway goal. Maxwell's fourth goal of the playoffs came unassisted... 1-1 at 14:29.

SECOND PERIOD - No scoring.

THIRD PERIOD - No scoring.

OVERTIME

With the Rebels on the powerplay, Mathew Dumba unleashed a blast from the point that beat Chris Driedger for the game winner. Rhyse Dieno and Brady Gaudet assisted on the goal at 6:06 of overtime... Rebels win 2-1.
