Red Deer Tops Hitmen in OT for Game 3 Win

Red Deer, AB - Mathew Dumba scored the overtime game-winning goal to lift the Red Deer Rebels to a 2-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen Monday evening at the Enmax Centrium. After three games, Calgary continues to lead the best-of-seven series 2-1.

Peter Kosterman opened the scoring for Calgary, netting his first goal of the post-season, before Rebels forward Brooks Maxwell drew the game even to end the first frame tied at one. Both teams were scoreless through the next two periods with Calgary's Chris Driedger making 25 saves in the second and third periods. Driedger finished the night stopping 42 of 44 shots he faced to match a season-high.

The Husky WHL Eastern Conference Semi-Final continues tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9, with Game 4 of the series. Puck drop is 7 p.m. at the Enmax Centrium. Radio broadcast begins at 6 p.m. on Sportsnet 960 The FAN (960 AM) with a one hour pre-game show. Calgary returns to the Scotiabank Saddledome for Game 5 on Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m.
