
Heatherington Invited to Canada's National Men's U-18 Team Training Camp

Swift Current, SK - Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League announced that Swift Current Broncos defenceman Dillon Heatherington is one of 21 players invited to attend Canada's National Men's Under-18 Team training camp, April 6-10 at the MasterCard Centre in Toronto, ON ahead of the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship in Sochi, Russia.
Heatherington posted a career-high season recording four goals and 23 assists for 27 points (more than doubling his point totals from the 2011-12 season) in 71 games played with the Broncos this season. The 6'4", 196-pound product of Calgary, AB was ranked 44th amongst North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting's midterm rankings.
Heatherington was selected by the Broncos in the 1st round, 11th overall, of the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.
Canada will play two pre-tournament games before the IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship, on April 14th against the United States and April 16th against the Czech Republic. Canada will open the tournament on April 18th against Slovakia.
