DES MOINES, IA, Mar. 28, 2012- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants bench outscored the Iowa Energy bench 52-22 Thursday night as the visitors rolled to a 128-110 victory over the Iowa Energy.
Fort Wayne led 66-58 at halftime, and extended the lead to 13 at the end of the third quarter. The Mad Ants, who outrebounded Iowa 48-40 on the night, scored 62 points in the pain on the night.
Rookie Tony Mitchell led the Mad Ants with 36 points while six other Ft. Wayne players scored in double figures.
Paul Harris and Chris Wright led Iowa with 22 points each. Harris pulled down a game high 13 rebounds for the home team.
Iowa hosts Reno on Saturday night in their annual "Hoops for the Cure" presented by Mercy Cancer Center. The Energy will wear pink uniforms to help promote breast cancer awareness. Tickets are available at www.IowaNBA.com or at the arena box office.
