Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack will look to build on their 2-0 series lead when they get set to play game three of their Western Conference Quarter Final Series in Sault Ste. Marie.
The jumped out to a 2-0 series courtesy of a 2-1OT win on Thursday night and a 4-2(en) win on Saturday night, but the series is most definitely closer than the Attack's 2-0 lead indicates. The reality is that the first two games could have gone either way, the Attack just found a way to win. Prior to Nastasiuk's empty net goal on Saturday, Sault Ste. Marie came within inches of tying the game when Ryan Sproul's point shot found iron.
Jordan Binnington has been stellar through the first two games, posting a 1.44 GAA and a .963 save percentage. Gilbert Gabor is expected to stay in the line-up for game three, replacing Cameron Brace who is serving the second of a five game suspension. Zach Nastasiuk has also raised the eyebrows of scouts, tallying two goals and an assist through the opening two games.
The Owen Sound faithful rocked the Bayshore on Saturday night and the Essar Centre will no doubt be a raucous place as it always is for games three and four. Fans can watch the game live on Rogers TV Local Channel 53 or Listen Live on 560 CFOS with Fred Wallace on Terry's Trailer Service/Kia of Owen Sound Bear Radio. Game time is 7:07pm.
