(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club has acquired a third round pick (26th overall) in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for non-import defensive lineman Jermaine Reid and the Esks best two fifth round picks in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft.
"It has been a priority to reestablish ourselves in the draft. At this point, we feel very good about our position," says Eskimo General Manager Ed Hervey .
Over two seasons with the green and gold, Reid played 25 regular season games, registering 24 defensive tackles and three quarterback sacks. He also played in two playoff games in 2011. The Akron product was originally drafted ninth overall by Hamilton in 2006 and spent the first four seasons of his CFL career with the Tiger-Cats.
