DES MOINES, IA, Feb 8, 2013- The Iowa Energy host two games this weekend - and each has an exciting promotion for fans to enjoy.
On Saturday, Iowa hosts Ft. Wayne at 7pm for "Nuggets Night". To pay homage to our affiliate in Denver, the Energy will wear the Nuggets light blue uniforms. The Nuggets dance team and mascot will be on hand to entertain fans of all ages. In addition, the first 1,000 fans will receive a poster featuring Quincy Miller and Julyan Stone, two Nuggets players currently on assignment with the Energy.
The Nuggets dance team will join Miller and Stone to sign autographs post-game.
The next day, the Energy welcome Rio Grande Valley to town. The Vipers are coached by former Energy head man Nick Nurse and sport a roster filled with six current/former NBA players. That game tips at 4pm. The first 1,000 fans will receive a pack of Energy trading cards.
That game will be the first time the Vipers have returned to Des Moines since the Energy defeated them in the 2011 NBA D-League Championship Series.
