RedHawks Announce Exhibition Schedule

FARGO, ND - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks will play an eight-game exhibition schedule, including three games at Newman Outdoor Field, in preparation for the 2013 American Association season.
The RedHawks will open training camp on Saturday, May 4. After two days of workouts, the exhibition schedule kicks off with a pair of game against the defending American Association champion Winnipeg Goldeyes. Fargo-Moorhead will then travel to St. Paul for a morning game on May 9 against the Saints.
The RedHawks will turn around and host St. Paul the next night with a 6:00 p.m. game at Newman Outdoor Field on Friday, May 10. Winnipeg then comes to Fargo for games on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12. Game times are 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Following the final game with Winnipeg, the RedHawks will make the trek south with exhibition games in Kansas City on Monday, May 13 and Grand Prairie on Tuesday, May 14. Fargo-Moorhead opens the 2013 regular season on Thursday, May 16 with a road series against the Laredo Lemurs. First pitch on Opening Night from Uni-Trade Stadium in Laredo is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
"Our organization feels very strongly about the value of exhibition games to get players ready and make personnel decisions in our brief training camp," said RedHawks General Manager Josh Buchholz. "Eight games in 12 days should have us ready to go."
