It's been less than a week since the Pats and Broncos last faced off in a 2-1 Swift Current win. Tonight, the Pats look for their second win at the Credit Union I-Plex this season. The Broncos have wins in three of the four meetings between the East Division rivals. Lane Scheidl and Dyson Stevenson hold the most points in the season series among Pats scorers with four each. Graham Black also features four points in his four games against Regina, including a goal in the teams' previous contest. The Pats come into this evening's matchup having lost five straight games, the last three by 2-1 scores. The Broncos hold the longest win streak in the Eastern Conference with victories in six straight. Tonight's game can be heard on 620 CKRM starting with the Press Box Sports Bar Pre-Game Show at 6:35 p.m.

Lead Up: Pats Fall to Swift Current in Another Tight Game

For the second game in a row, the Pats opened the scoring when Lane Scheidl found Morgan Klimchuk in front for his 24th goal of the season. The Broncos would strike back with two goals during four-on-four situations with Graham Black and Colby Cave providing the markers. For game highlights click here.

Goaltending Duels

The goaltenders have been front and centre when the Pats and Broncos go head to head. Regina's netminders Matt Hewitt and Teagan Sacher feature 2.53, 2.05 GAA's and 0.915, 0.909 Sv%'s respectively while Broncos goalie, Eetu Laurikainen holds a 1.92 GAA and a 0.923 Sv%.

Success Against Swift

Lane Scheidl sits second on the Pats' scoring list this season with 53 to his name. Four (1G, 3A) of those, have come in four games against the Broncos. Scheidl has 17 points in 16 career games against Swift Current (nine last season).

Who to Watch on Swift Current

Graham Black was a key part of the Broncos' win over the Pats last week. He scored the Broncos tying marker in the second period and was a threat all night. The Regina native was drafted by New Jersey in the 5th round of last year's NHL Draft and features 19 goals and 17 assists in 46 games this season.

The Pats put their individual skills on display in the fourth annual Prairie Mobile Pats Skills Competition. Monday, January 28th at the Brandt Centre, the Pats will be split into two teams and compete in multiple events following an Alumni Game featuring many names familiar to Pats fans.
