(Toledo, OH) - Toledo has agreed to terms with forward Trevor Nill. In a separate move, the NHL's Detroit Red Wings have assigned for Andrej Nestrasil to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

Nill, drafted in 2007 by the St. Louis Blues in the 7th round, is the son of Detroit Red Wings Vice President and Assistant General Manager Jim Nill. He spent the last four years skating with the Michigan State University where he appeared in 128 games for the Spartans, scoring 6 goals with 15 assists. The native of Novi, Michigan was an assistant captain in each of the past two years for Michigan State.

"Nill is a strong skater and very hard working forward," said Head Coach Nick Vitucci. "He is also an extremely smart hockey player who is the right position."

Nestrasil was just named today as the ECHL AMI Graphics Plus Performer of the Month for his efforts in December. He is tied for the team lead in points with 31 (10g, 21a) and is currently on an 11 game point streak (4g, 14a). Nestrasil had the team's first five point game on Monday in Fort Wayne with 2 goals and 3 assists. He has appeared in three games this season with the Griffins with no points. Grand Rapids will host Oklahoma City on Friday before travelling to Chicago on Saturday and Milwaukee on Sunday.

The Toledo Walleye will return home on January 5 to host the Orlando Solar Bears at the Huntington Center. Tickets are on sale now online at www.toledowalleye.com, or by phone at (419) 725-9255.
