Solar Bears Agree to Terms with Dan Dries

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Dan Dries.

Dries (6'0", 194 lbs.) played 13 games this season, his first full professional campaign, with Ilves of the Finish elite league (SM-liiga), notching one assist. He also skated in nine games for the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey [image: Dan Dries] League (AHL) at the end of last season, where he picked up one goal and two assists.

Prior to turning pro, Dries played four seasons in the NCAA, two with the University of New Hampshire (2007-09) and two with Ohio State University (2010-2012). In 135 collegiate games, the Lake Orion, Michigan, native scored 49 goals and 49 assists for 98 points. He picked up 28 points during his Freshman year with New Hampshire in 2007-08, finishing fifth on the team in points. With Ohio State, he finished second on the team in goals and third in points in both seasons, including a career high 15 goals in 36 games during the 2010-11 season.

The Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and AHL's Houston Aeros, play all of their home games at the 2012 *Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal* Sports Facility of the Year, the Amway Center.
