SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that center Torrey Mitchell has been signed to a standard player contract. Mitchell, currently with the Minnesota Wild, played the past five seasons with the San Jose Sharks. Mitchell is expected to practice with the team today and play on Wednesday, when the Bulls host the Colorado Eagles at the Cow Palace.

"The entire organization is excited about seeing Torrey in a San Francisco Bulls uniform," said Bulls President/Head Coach Pat Curcio. "We know how much of a fan favorite Torrey was with San Jose. We expect Bulls fans to feel the same way when they see him play at the Cow Palace."

Mitchell, 27, is in his sixth season of professional hockey. A fourth-round draft pick (126th overall) of San Jose in 2004, Mitchell has played in 280 career games with the Sharks, producing 73 points (30 goals, 43 assists) and 152 penalty minutes.
