Cleveland Charge News Release
The Canton Charge have signed forward Travis Franklin (6-7, 215, Colorado State) from the available player pool and placed guard D'Aundray Brown on the inactive list, the team announced today. Per team and league policy, terms of the contract were not released.
Franklin, 24, played in 35 games (two starts) with the Charge last season and averaged 7.7 points on .554 shooting with 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 19.1 minutes per game. In his three-year career at Colorado State University (2008-11), he played in 92 games (65 starts) and averaged 9.7 points on .513 shooting with 4.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steal in 22.7 minutes per game. Franklin was originally a sixth round choice (81st overall) by the Charge in the 2011 NBA Development League Draft.
The Canton roster now stands at 10. The Charge take the court again with a pair of division road games this weekend, beginning with a matchup against the Springfield Armor on Saturday, December 8th at 8:00 p.m.
