Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack will ride their four game winning streak into the Bayshore on Wednesday night as they look to make it five wins in a row. Wednesday evening is the 3rd Annual Toonies and Toys Night in support of the Owen Sound Salvation Army. Members of the Owen Sound fire department will be on hand to collect new, unwrapped toys, cash donations along with donations to the Food Bank. Fans can also participate in the 1st Intermission Puck toss for their chance to win great prizes. All money raised will go directly towards helping local families.

The Attack is coming off four straight road wins, including three in three days on the weekend with victories over Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie and Saginaw. This will be the second meeting this season between Plymouth and Owen Sound with the Attack taking the first meeting of the year back on October 10th at the Bayshore.

Whale Watching: Plymouth currently sits 6th in the Western Conference, but is one point back of the Sarnia Sting for 1st place in the West Division with two games in hand. The Whalers can be a dangerous bunch and it appears as though they may be starting to hit their stride, gathering 5 points in their last three games played.

Look Out For: Tom Wilson has had a solid year and stood out at the Subway Series enough that it garnered him an invite to Canada's World Junior Selection Camp. The 6'4, 210lb winger has 21 points in 18 games to go with 34 penalty minutes.

Last 10 Games: Attack - 8-2-0-0 (2nd in MidWest), Whalers - 5-3-1-1 (2nd in West)

Tickets for Wednesday nights game are available at the Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com or by calling (519) 371-7452. Game time on Wednesday is 7:00pm.
