Attack Take on McDavid and Otters

Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack will get their first look at 15 year old phenom Connor McDavid on Friday night as they travel to Erie for back to back games. McDavid was granted exceptional status for this past OHL Priority Selection, meaning he can play in the league as a 1997 born player and has certainly not disappointed. In 14 games this season, the 1st overall pick has 18 points, 7 of which are goals.
Jordan Binnington is coming off a red hot month of October which saw him collect OHL Goalie of the Month honours. The St.Louis Blues prospect is two wins back of Curtis Sanford's all-time franchise wins mark of 65, set back in 1999. The veteran Attack net minder will undoubtedly get a crack at inching closer to the mark this weekend. Daniel Catenacci also had a solid month of October, netting 13 points in 9 games, while Cameron Brace was equally as impressive, tallying 8 goals in 9 contests.
Friday November 2nd and Saturday November 3rd - Attack @ Erie: Despite currently sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference, make no mistake; this Otters team is young and dangerous. Lead by McDavid, Connor Brown, Adam Pelech and goaltender Oscar Dansk, the Otters will jump up and bite you if they catch you napping. The Otters have not had much recent luck in years, however; their streak looks to be turning a corner as they currently have 10 players on their roster who are 1995 born or younger. The Otters also have a roster in which they will only lose one player off their roster next season due to age eligibility and that is overage forward J.P. Labardo.
Look Out For: McDavid, Dansk and Connor Brown are the obvious choices, so let's look a little further down the list. Otters forward Connor Crisp is an interesting story. After playing in the league as a 16 year old, Crisp missed the majority of the 2011/2012 season due to injury. Most fans will remember him actually making his debut last season in goal for the Otters in a game against Niagara. No doubt a little rusty, Crisp put together a solid October and is currently riding a three game goal scoring streak. A big, physical forward, he is slowly proving he has the potential to be a top power forward in the league.
Catch It On: Erie games are not available on Rogers TV, but they are available on the OHL Action Pack, which can be found on the OHL Website. As usual, the action can be heard live with Fred Wallace on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS.
Game time on Friday and Saturday is 7:00pm.
