Cape Breton Eagles News Release
Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that they have acquired Brett Malone on waivers from the Moncton Wildcats.
The 5'11" 189 lb right winger was acquired by the Wildcats in the third round (52nd overall) at the 2010 QMJHL Entry Draft. He played a total of 84 games with the wildcats over 3 seasons and registered 4 goals and 5 assists.
"He is a good 2-way forward," said Screaming Eagles General Manager and Head Coach Ron Choules. "Hopefully a fresh start here in Cape Breton will allow him to reach his full potential."
Malone is expected to join the team in time for practice Wednesday afternoon.
