San Antonio, TX - The Houston Aeros (0-2-0-0, 0 points) were defeated by the San Antonio Rampage (1-1-0-0, 2 points) 3-2 in front of 4,092 fans on Sunday at the AT&T Center. Rampage defenseman Colby Robak scored with 6:46 remaining in the third period, breaking a 2-2 tie and giving San Antonio its first win of the year. Goalie Jacob Markstrom (1-1-0) made 14 saves in the third period, securing the win and finishing with 30 saves. Houston rookies Charlie Coyle and Jason Zucker each had a goal and an assist in the defeat. Aeros goalie Matt Hackett (0-2-0) suffered the loss after stopping 25 of 28 shots. Houston will return home to play Texas at 7:05 p.m. on Friday.

Houston jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead at 3:46 of the first period. Rookie Charlie Coyle scored his first pro goal, putting in a feed from forward Mikael Granlund. Right wing Jason Zucker also added an assist on the team's first power-play goal of the year. San Antonio countered at 8:32 of the first period, scoring a power-play goal of its own. Winger J.F. Jacques tipped a shot in front of the Houston net, scoring his first goal of the season, as the puck slipped past Matt Hackett. Defensemen Colby Robak and Alex Petrovic each had an assist on the play to make it 1-1.

Rampage winger Greg Rallo scored at 4:15 of the second period, pushing San Antonio in front 2-1. Rallo picked off a clearing attempt in front of the Houston net and slipped his first goal of the season past Hackett for a 2-1 Rampage lead. The Aeros connected for their second power-play goal of the day at 18:54. Jason Zucker scored his first goal of the season, finishing off a centering feed from Brian Connelly. Charlie Coyle added an assist on the play, tying the game 2-2.

With 6:46 remaining in the third period, the Rampage moved back in front with a goal by Colby Robak. The San Antonio defenseman blasted a shot from the left-point, through traffic and past Hackett for the 3-2 Rampage lead. Former Aero Casey Wellman and Jon Rheault each had an assist on Robak's first goal of the season.

Houston returns to home ice on Friday, Oct. 19 at 7:05 p.m. to host the Texas Stars. After a road game at Texas on Saturday, the Aeros will host the Milwaukee Admirals at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21.
