Calgary Stampeders at BC Lions BC Place Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 8 p.m. (MDT) kickoff Broadcast on TSN and AM 770 CHQR

The Stampeders will be shooting for a share of first place in the Canadian Football League's West Division on Saturday as they face the BC Lions. Kickoff at Vancouver's BC Place is 8 p.m. MDT.

The Stamps (8-5) are coming off a 39-15 home-field victory over the Edmonton Eskimos and have put five of their six most recent outings into the win column.

The Lions (9-4) dropped a 27-21 decision to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Regina on Saturday but are still 7-2 in their past nine games.

Calgary and BC previously met at McMahon Stadium on July 28, with the Lions claiming a 34-8 victory.

A victory on Saturday would pull the Stamps into a tie with BC with one more head-to-head meeting remaining - an Oct. 26 contest at McMahon in the next-to-last week of regular-season play.

The contest marks another return to his home province for Stampeders running back Jon Cornish, a New Westminster, B.C., native who leads the CFL rushing race with 1,127 yards.

Fans in the Calgary can catch all the action at the Stamps' official site for Road Game Tweet-ups - Shark Club Deerfoot Meadows (7995 11th St. SE).

The Stamps' next home contest will be on Saturday, Oct. 20 when the Hamilton Tiger-Cats provide the opposition at McMahon. It will be the annual PinkPower game with limited-edition pink Stampeders merchandise being on sale at the stadium. Proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society and the battle against women's cancers.

Stampeders season tickets are on sale now for the 2013 season. For more information, visit Stampeders.com or call 403-289-0258 to speak with a customer service representative.
