Minnesota Twins Team Up With Lynx to Purchase 500 Tickets for Game 1 of Western Conference Finals

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Twins are the latest member of the community to support the Lynx as they continue on their Road to Repeat. In preparation for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Los Angeles Sparks, the Twins have purchased 500 upper level tickets for Thursday's series opener and are offering them to fans for free. Beginning Wednesday at 8 a.m., the first 250 fans that call in to 612-673-8400 will have the opportunity to receive a pair of free tickets; limit two per customer.
To kick off the promotion, a radio ad featuring Twins centerfielder Denard Span will air tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 3 on all Clear Channel stations, KQRS and LOVE 105 FM.
"The amount of support we've received from the sports community has been tremendous," said Timberwolves and Lynx President Chris Wright. "Our players feed off the energy in Target Center, and the support we've received from the Twins and the rest of the community has a huge part of our success. Target Center has been electric throughout the season, and we need the support of our fans as we continue our Road to Repeat."
The Lynx finished the regular season a WNBA-best 27-7 for the second consecutive year, earning the first overall seed in the WNBA and homecourt advantage throughout the 2012 WNBA Playoffs, presented by Boost Mobile. After defeating the Seattle Storm 2-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals, the Lynx will face off with the Los Angeles Sparks beginning in Game 1 on Thursday, October 4. Game 2 will be in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 7 at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
Single-game tickets for the Western Conference Finals range from $15 ($10 for season ticket holders and $12 for groups of 10 or more) to $190 ($165 for season ticket holders). Playoff strips, which include tickets to all potential postseason home games, are also available for purchase for as low as $124, a discount of as much as 25% from the single-game price.
