Colorado Eagles News Release
Entering the 10th season of Colorado Eagles hockey, nearly 130 players have donned an Eagles jersey, and we're leaving it up to our fans to help choose the top six! Over the course of the next six months, you'll have the opportunity to vote for your favorite players, creating the "Fans' Vision All-Decade Team," presented by the Eye Laser Center of Northern Colorado. In addition to helping decide this historic team, fans who participate will have the chance to win several great prizes, highlighted by FREE LASIK, courtesy of the Eye Laser Center of Northern Colorado.
Here's how the voting will work: Each month throughout the 2012-13 regular season (Oct-Mar), a group of players, separated by position, will be voted upon via a poll on our Web site . Fans can vote as many times as they wish for their favorite players, with the player collecting the highest number of votes during the first few weeks of each month earning his place on the all-decade team. The player who garners the most votes during each monthly voting period (see the voting schedule below) will be honored at the final home game of each month. Fans are encouraged to vote often to help ensure that their favorite Eagles earn inclusion on the limited, 6-player team.
Following each player selection, 10 fans will receive a prize just for voting! Nine fans who participated in the month's poll will be selected to receive a puck autographed by the honored player, and one lucky fan who voted for that month's winning player will be selected to receive a limited edition, commemorative all-decade team item once the entire team is selected.
On top of all of that, everyone that votes throughout the season will be eligible to win the grand prize: a custom bladeless LASIK procedure -- valued at $4,590 -- from the Eye Laser Center of Northern Colorado, the exclusive option for bladeless LASIK in Northern Colorado. Six fans will be chosen at the end of the season to compete for the grand prize in an intermission contest during Fan Appreciation Night (March 23).
The group of players for each position was selected by the Eagles' hockey operations department, but if your favorite player isn't included in a specific group, be sure to write him in! For a full list of Eagles player from our first nine seasons, click here .
