
Nettles' Walk off Three Run Homer Wins It for Patriots

Bridgewater, NJ- Jeff Nettles' three-run home run (9) in the bottom of the ninth inning led the Somerset Patriots to a 4-1 win over the Sugar Land Skeeters at TD Bank Ballpark on Wednesday evening.
Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the ninth inning, Dan Hennigan drove home the tying run, and after Corey Smith reached on a single, Nettles took losing pitcher Gary Majewski (5-3) deep with the game-winning homer.
Sugar Land broke a scoreless tie in the top of the seventh inning after Matt Hagen came around to score on an RBI double by Iggy Suarez for the 1-0 lead.
Patriots reliever Andy Sisco (3-0) earned the win with a scoreless inning pitched.
The 2012 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford will continue at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday evening when the Patriots take on the Sugar Land Skeeters at 7:05 pm.
