BRIDGEWATER, New Jersey - In game one of the two-game series against the Patriots Wednesday night, the Patriots used a four-run ninth-inning comeback to defeat the Skeeters 4-1 in the Freedom Division contest at TD Bank Ballpark.

Michael Nix got the starting nod for the Skeeters in the first game of two against Somerset Wednesday night. Nix managed five innings of scoreless baseball giving up just one hit and one walk while striking out six batters before he was pulled for Will Startup in the sixth. He received the no-decision in his 15th start of the year.

The Skeeters broke the scoreless-tie by scoring first in the top of the seventh off starter Roy Merritt.
