Earthquakes to Make Major Announcement Regarding New Stadium

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes Club President Dave Kaval will make a major announcement regarding the club's new stadium project during a press conference prior to Saturday's game against the Colorado Rapids. The press conference will begin at 6 p.m. PT in the Epicenter Fan Zone and will be open to all fans attending the match. Kaval will be available for questions from media following the press conference.

The club has plans to build a privately financed 18,000-seat stadium at 1125 Coleman Ave. in San Jose. Renderings and information about suite options at the facility are available at www.sjearthquakes.com/newstadium .

The Earthquakes (14-6-5, 47 pts.) enter Saturday's match atop the Western Conference and Supporters' Shield standings. San Jose defeated the Rapids (8-15-2, 26 pts.) 2-1 on June 20 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in their only previous meeting this season.
