Upcoming Homestand, Former Nuts Player Makes MLB Debut

Modesto Nuts News Release


The Modesto Nuts are back in the groove to take the lead and currently sit only one game ahead of the Visalia Rawhide, with a second half record of 29-23, and two games behind the San Jose Giants (64-58;26-26) for an overall record of 63-59.

The Nuts return home for a three game series tonight as they take on the Visalia Rawhide who are 27-25 for the second half and 58-64 overall.

Friday, August 17

Join us on Friday August 17 as we celebrate the Habitat for Humanity Grand Finale. The Martinez and Roten families were given keys to their new home recently. Join us to help celebrate this momentous occasion in their lives. Gates open at 6PM with first pitch at 7:05 against the Visalia Rawhide.

Saturday, August 18

Come out as the Modesto Nuts honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice during our annual Hometown Heroes Night sponsored by Crystal Creamery. A fireworks Screamin' Sky show and base race to follow the game as the Nuts take on the Visalia Rawhide. Gates open at 6PM first pitch at 7:05!

Sunday, August 19

You won't want to miss our jam packed Sunday Funday presented by Farmers Insurance or our Catch on the Field presented by Stanislaus County Department of Child Support Services. Parents and kids can come out and play catch on the field pre-game each Sunday home game for the first 30 minutes after gates open and kids can run the bases after the game! Gates open at 5PM, with a game time of 6:05PM against the Visalia Rawhide.

Former Nut Debuted Against Brewers

This past Monday former Modesto Nuts pitcher, Will Harris, made his Major League debut against the Milwaukee Brewers helping the Rockies win 9-6. Harris threw 16 pitches in his relief stint with 12 of those going for strikes. Harris also pitched again on Wednesday, August 15th against Milwaukee walking away with the W for the night.
