Smokies Return Home to Face Stars Beginning Wednesday

KODAK, Tenn. - The Tennessee Smokies return home to kick off a five-game homestand against the Huntsville Stars, Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers at Smokies Park beginning on Wednesday, August 8. Come cheer on the Smokies during a homestand that will include a postgame fireworks show (Friday), cap giveaway (Saturday) and a postgame Christian concert (Sunday).
Wednesday's 7:15 game kicks off the five-game set with the Smokies' Summer Reading Program celebration pregame. It's also Blount County night, where residents and employees of Blount County receive a $2 discount off a walk-up ticket purchase.
Kids take the stage Thursday night! The first 500 kids 12-and-under, with paid admission, to the 7:15 game will get a free lunch bag, courtesy of Pepsi. It's also kids eat free, where kids 12-and-under, with paid admission, will get a free hot dog, chips and small Pepsi product. The Smokies have also teamed up with Rotary International for "Pack the Park for Polio" night. It's also a Pilot Prize night, where everyone's a winner.
The Smokies will be hosting another postgame Friday Fireworks show following Friday's 7:15 game, courtesy of Pepsi, Coors Light, Knoxville News Sentinel, WVLT-TV 8 and WIVK-FM. We'll honor boy and girl scouts with Scout Night
Saturday's 6:15 game is jam-packed with fun-filled activities for all ages. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will receive a free Smokies cap, courtesy of Food City, Peter Pan Peanut Butter and WBIR. We'll show our support in the fight against autism with Autism Awareness Night.
Sunday's 5:00 game will wrap up the series and following the game, the Smokies will hold their annual Christian Concert featuring Fireflight.
