Boise Hawks News Release

Left-handed pitcher Brooks Raley will become the 100th former Boise Hawk to play in the Major Leagues, as he is expected to be called up later today from AAA Iowa and make the start for the Chicago Cubs against San Diego.

The Texas A&M product made two appearances for the Hawks at the end of the 2009 season, tossing six and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out two. Raley was 2-2 with a 3.51 ERA at Tennessee to start 2012, before being promoted to Iowa, where he was 4-8 with a 3.62 ERA and was recently named the Cubs Minor League Pitcher of the Month.

He will join Brett Jackson as the first two members of the 2009 Boise Hawks to play in the majors and is the tenth former Hawk to make his debut in 2012.
