
Rapids Earn 2-1 Win over English Premier League Side

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - The Colorado Rapids earned a 2-1 win over Swansea City of the English Premier League in an international friendly match held at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Tuesday night. The Rapids scored two early goals through Andre Akpan and Kamani Hill, while Jonathan de Guzman placed a perfect free kick for Swansea to pull within one goal in the second half.
The Rapids saw home debuts for a pair of local players: Aurora's Davy Armstrong and Boulder's Shane O'Neill both played a first team match in front of their home fans for the first time. The pair entered the match as second half substitutes, playing well in 33 minutes of action.
