Owlz Offense Dominates Raptors for 12-3 Win

For the second straight night, the Owlz offense fired on all cylinders en route to a 12-3 win and a series sweep of Ogden on Friday evening at Lindquist Field.Joel Capote fell a home run shy of the cycle for the second straight night, as he went 3-for-4 with three runs and 2 RBIs to help set the table for Orem.
Wendell Soto had a career night, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. Soto was 4-for-5 with four runs and a RBI. In addition, Michael Snyder extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a double in the 1st inning. Snyder finished 3-for-4 with three doubles and 4 RBIs.
Orem scored three runs in the 1st inning for the second straight night thanks to a RBI groundout by Hinkle, a RBI double by Snyder and an error on Alex Santana that scored Snyder.
Gabriel Perez was fantastic for his third time in four starts, firing five scoreless innings, while striking out eight Raptors. He improves to 3-1 on the season after Friday night's impressive performance.
The Owlz got two runs in the 2nd on a 2-run double by Snyder and then a huge five spot in the 5th inning. Capote had a 2-run triple, Soto smacked a RBI double and Snyder had another RBI double.
Orem is now only three games back of Ogden for first place in the South division. Join is at the ballpark Saturday-Monday as the Owlz host the Idaho Falls Chukars for three games. It will be a SportClips Saturday at the ballpark!
