Josh Geer Named Texas League Pitcher of the Week

San Antonio - San Antonio Missions starting pitcher Josh Geer has been named the Texas League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 25-July 1.Geer made two starts during the week and went 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA (2 ER/14 IP), walked just one and struck out eight while limiting opposing batters to a .163 average (8-for-49).
The 29-year old native of Forney, TX and Rice alum, also won the award twice during his 2007 campaign with San Antonio, as he went on to earn Pitcher of the Year honors.
In eight starts this season for the Missions, Geer is 3-2 with a 4.47 ERA in 48.1 innings.
