
Blue Bombers Release Four and Add One

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers released the following four players today:
Import wide receiver Paul Hubbard
Import defensive end Brandon Akpunko
Import linebacker Javon McKinnon
Import cornerback David Pender
The Blue Bombers also added import offensive tackle Shannon Boatman. Boatman (6-6, 342, Florida State, DOB: November 24, 1984 in Beaumont, Texas) started five games for the Toronto Argonauts in 2010 at both left and right tackle after spending the 2009 season on their practice roster. He attended training camp with the team last year before being among their final cuts. At FSU, Boatman was a starter in every game that the team rushed for over 100 yards or gained 400 or more yards in total offence. He played two seasons at Tyler Junior College before transferring to Florida State where he started all but two games over the next two seasons.
