(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have signed free agent import linebacker Evan Harrington, the club announced today.
Harrington played his college football at Colorado where he played in 13 games his senior year. Used primarily as a blocker, he was a first team fullback in 2011; recording seven receptions for 41 yards and one touchdown. Evan was a pivotal special teams performer, finishing fourth with 18 special team points; all coming on knockdown blocks on the return unit.
Before attending Colorado Harrington was a standout linebacker at JUCO College of the Canyons, where he earned first-team All-Northern Conference honours in 2009; he lead the team with 85 tackles, including 11.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks.
